inlingua is situated close to the downtown shopping district. Our policy of "English only" is maintained when teachers and students share morning coffee and lunch together.

The inlingua method ensures that normal English is developed as quickly as possible through constant practice in a friendly atmosphere. Grammar and pronunciation problems can be corrected as they arise. Real English is used from the beginning. Because all classes are small, each student can be heard and helped when necessary.

All our teachers are native speakers of English and trained teachers. They hold qualifications as teachers of English as a Second Language and as experts in the use of the inlingua method and inlingua books and other materials. All have extensive teaching experience, both in New Zealand and overseas, and all are committed to helping students in a friendly, encouraging way.

Most students like to stay with a local New Zealand family close to the school. Students have their own room, but share meals with their hosts. The school selects and arranges this accommodation with host families who understand the needs of overseas students. Students can also stay in local hotels, motels or youth hostels if they prefer.

Students arriving at Auckland International Airport can be met and brought direct to inlingua Tauranga on a shuttle bus. Alternatively, they can take a domestic flight to Tauranga Airport, or use public transport to Auckland City and then take a bus or train to Tauranga, where they are met personally by a school staff member.

inlingua Language School, Tauranga is registered and accredited as a private training establishment by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority under the provisions of the Education Act 1989 and its subsequent amendments.
