Comet has been a business name well known in Tauranga for over 65 years. In this time there has only been 3 owners. The current owner Denis Tilson, has steered this innovative engineering company for more than 24 years from a predominately agricultural based clientele to a diverse service, development and manufacturing business, supplying local bodies, building companies, agriculture and domestic sectors.
Denis has never allowed his company to compromise on quality and has a favourite saying “the bitterness of poor quality will far outlast the thrill of a cheap buy” which has been carried into his everyday business philosophy. Consequently, this has built Comet Services Ltd a reputation for producing high quality work and reliable service using only the highest quality materials. Customers can be secure in the knowledge that once a project is handed to us, it will be followed through to completion, and fully backed up. As long as you have the need - we have the skills.
Comet Services Ltd has its own brand of clotheslines as well as being a servicing agent for other popular brands. A range of nails for use by builders and roofers is also stocked.
Much of the work involves planning, design and building of prototypes. Comet’s team consists of manufacturing engineers and metal craftsmen in aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel, including bending and fabricating of pipe structures and wrought iron work.
