Established in 2003 by Dr. Liza Schneider, Holistic Vets makes use of the best of both worlds. Our broad approach addresses all issues, from basic veterinary care such as vaccination and nutrition to chronic ongoing conditions.
Holistic Vets believes that client communication is a priority as a range of options may be presented. It is of utmost importance that our clients make an educated decision as to which path they are comfortable pursuing within their pet care and financial constraints.

Conventional veterinary healthcare - Basic veterinary services such as vaccination, annual check ups, routine surgery as well as emergency care.
Alternative and complementary therapies - Primary therapies include Nutritional Medicine, Homotoxicology and NIS (Neurological Integration System). Orthobionomy, Homeopathy, Herbal medicine, Bach Flower Remedies, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Animal Acupuncture, Chiropatics and many other treatment modalities may be incorporated and where necessary we draw on the expertise of other practitioners in these fields.
Nutrition - Nutrition is the foundation of long term health and often a simple change to your animal's diet will make a big difference to its quality of life.
Home visits - By coming to you, we can treat your animal in its own environment, thus reducing any stress to you and your pet.
Telephone and e-mail consultations - We can work in conjunction with your local vet to provide alternative options in the treatment and care of your animals.
Wildlife rehabilitation - We work closely with ARRC (Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre), helping to conserve our New Zealand wildlife in the Bay of Plenty.
